As a father of 3 lively , healthy, wanted and loved children I have questioned this system in China a million times.. I t seems so cruel, so simple, matter of fact..Pregnant great: 1st born: pregnant again..sorry..be out at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday for trash pick up..

I do on the other hand, see a need for population control, in some areas..I have alot of questions...

1)Does the government provide birth semi-permanent and/ or permanent birth control, or is abortion the only method used?

2) I see many international adoptions from China...are these children ONLY for international adoption.. (in Mexico it is very difficult to adopt nationally..you have to prove you are sterile and may other ridculous laws that pretty much insure a child will be brought up in the system to a certain aga and then kicked to the curb.)

3)Is there anyway besides paying horrific fines and tax penalties to keep a second..third child..Can one appeal to courts or humanity organizations, etc?

I would imagine this sytem also creates an incredibly high rate of ”femicides”

Not to be morbid..but are sex determining ultrasounds provided or would a girl child be born and left to die, perhaps..

If for some reason a child were to pass away ..would the couple be allowed to have another child..would it be dificult to gain rights to have another child?

Hi Oscar,

It is indeed cruel here in China. I do not know much about adoption in China. I have heard that ladies are supposed to have Copper -T implanted inside and government seek proof and they are to show their x-ray. It seems government asks for this proof in certain intervals..

As far as I know, you are allowed to have second child as long as you can pay tax or fine and also accept the fact that unlike the case of first child, you are not to receive benefits for the second. What i do not understand is why they cannot go for condoms? After all, it is better than aborting baby after it is conceived.

P.S Information I provided is on the basis of a talk with my friend.

Hi Mr. Balam,

It happens in India too. In India they abort mainly because of shame also if it is girl child. Atleast Indian government does not support abortion unless it is necessary.
