I read a newspaper article about this tradition a few years back. It said that the girls who become goddesses face severe emotional and psychological issues during and after their rein! But I suppose its such a huge religious and emotional issue that I don’t think these kumaris can be saved!

Yes Asmita. I wonder how they cope up with such lifestyle. Living like goddess is good to read in books but in real life...i do not know what to say..
